Why I love the truth
I love truth because it can be communicated objectively. For example, while we may each have our own feelings about a song it is still communicated objectively. It is communicated through a mechanical process in which sound waves are generated at a certain wavelength or through written notes. How we feel about the sound or look of it has no bearing on whether or not it’s true, because truth does not change.
Why I love God
I love God because He is the truth. No matter what we may feel about Him, He does not change. God is the same in Texas, Colorado, South Africa, Australia, or where ever you may be. Yesterday, today and tomorrow, God is always the same. He can be discovered through the objective evidence found in the Holy Bible. It is masterfully written to objectively bring us into His presence so that we may be confident in our relationship with Him.
Why I love Jesus
I love Jesus because He is God. Jesus wasn’t lying when He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” because He is God, and God is truth. The New Testament provides us the objective evidence we need to see in order to truly grasp the concepts on the level of the heart. Real stories about real people are as real as it gets. A real, live, living, breathing truth that we can put our hope in.
